Cooking

My main hobby is cooking, when I have a day free my favourite way to relax is to spend the day pottering in the kitchen testing out new recipes and prepping meals. My love for cooking started at university, although it was a little difficult on a budget I made it work.

After university when I moved back home, it was like a playground being in my mums kitchen! I wouldn't buy unusual ingredients at university due to me only needing them for one recipe, so would often have to work with substitutes. However my mum seemed to have all of these and anything I needed she would buy (I think she just enjoyed someone else making dinner!), which allowed me to branch out with my recipes.

Below are some pictures of food I've made recently, including a full Spanish tapas spread, and a full Chinese takeaway (these two spreads took about 8 hours each to make and both involved me prepping a lot the day before). Hope you enjoy!

Volunteer Work

Over the last few years I have been a part of a charity football day called the RJB Challenge Shield which raises money for Mind and Hectors House. The day is in memory of my cousin Roairy James Brown, who sadly lost his battle with his mental health in 2015. It's always an amazing day and it's great to be raising money for a worthwhile cause.

I will also be running in a 50k relay on Sunday 16th August which will be raising money for Hectors House.

I welcome any opportunity to do some good and make a difference in the world!
