After finishing my MA Digital Marketing Degree September 2019, I have worked with multiple small companies and for most of these I have been the sole digital marketer. I have designed three websites using Wix which are optimised for SEO. One of them is published and live, the second is due to be live in the next couple of weeks and one is on hold as the business is not yet up and running. I have also helped two businesses with their social media marketing and created a logo using adobe illustrator.

For one of these businesses which is a Malaysian food business, the focus has been on content marketing. First by improving their blog content which over the past few months has helped to triple the amount of blog visits. Due to the fact that the blog is on their website which was built with vistaprint, the exact analytics are very difficult to track, however I have recently built them a new website using Wix so once the new site is up and running it will be easier to grow the blog and track the readers more accurately. After lockdown I plan to help them create a youtube channel about Malaysian cooking.

Working with small businesses, who had little or no online presence, and having control over certain aspects of their digital marketing has been a brilliant experience for me where I have been able to put what I learnt in my Masters degree into practice. However not being part of a team when I still lack some experience is daunting, and there is a lot for me to learn. I feel a job in a company would be an amazing opportunity for growth and to gain real world knowledge, and am open to any job opportunity in this industry.
